Describe the type of organization you work for.
Rane makes professional audio equipment and is known for extremely high quality products – top of the line. This equipment is used by disc jockeys and is also installed in very expensive hotels as well as in all Mormon churches. Rane employs about 100 people.

I design software to be used in professional audio equipment. I work with other engineers to help interface their software and hardware with mine.

Undercompensated but am delighted to work at a company that does not pressure me to work overtime and which is so close to my house that I have a ten minute commute.

Yes. Software and hardware must be able to work together in a product engineers must work together. I love that part of my job.
