Describe the type of organization you work for.
I work at a small, private, liberal arts university. Total enrollment is approx. 3300 in an urban area.

Describe your job role and responsibilities.
Mainly responsible for coordinating the University’s undergraduate internship program. Also coordinate career planning workshops throughout the year and assist with presentations as needed.

TIAA/CREF, Full medical and dental benefits, vacation accrues at approx. 2 days/month.

Fairly compensated.

I do work with others on a daily basis. In addition to working with my supervisor and office manager, we also employ 4-6 students who work on projects with/for us. I frequently interact with students, faculty, and staff of the university.

Describe your work location (e.g., office, home, theatre, in the field) and what you like/dislike about working in it.
I work in a 1 yr. old building. Beautiful building, office space, etc. Only downside is that we are located in the lower level of the building, so no outside lighting and less traffic.

Please describe a typical workday for you in your current job:

5am to 6am
6am to 7am
7am to 8am Up, breakfast, get ready for work, watch morning news.
8am to 9am Leave for work, drive 10 minutes to campus, put away lunch and boot up computer.
9am to 10am Checked my email, and responded to a couple of student’s questions. Looked at Calendar for today and reviewed my powerpoint presentation for my first of 3 presentations today.

at 9:15, completed my first presentation to 18 incoming students. Gave them a tour of our office space, and returned to my office.

10am to 11am Continued to check my email. Took a few minutes to update our social network group page. Responded to a couple of personal emails and talked informally with my supervisor for 10-15 minutes.
11am to 12pm Preparing to go to my 2nd presentation of the day that begins at 11:45. Same powerpoint, so no additional review needed.

Will be stepping out shortly to freshen up before heading into the presentation room.
