Current job Q&A
Describe the type of organization you work for.
I woukd for a small Property Management company we manage (on-site) a total of 216 units in 3 complexes. THere are only 2 of us in the office, so job titles really mean very little. We both do everything, from taking work orders to payroll.
Describe your job role and responsibilities.
Leasing apartments, paying bills, assigning prep work for apartments, taking work orders, paperwork for Section 8 tenants, deposits, processing rents and sendin out notices, etc.
Please list an additional benefits (beyond compensation) that you receive.
Health (not much), short term disability, and some life insurance included
Do you feel you are under/over or well/fairly compensated at your current position?
Under compensated, but I do have an extremely flexable schedule.
Does your job entail you working with others on a daily basis? Is this something you like/dislike about your job? Please explain.
There are only 2 of us in the office, so it can get a little crazy when we get busy. We also have the maintenance, yard crew, painters and subcontractors in and out of the office on a regular basis. I like that if there is an emergency, I can just tell the other office person I need to leave and there will be no questions. As long as there is someone in the office, we are very flexable.
Do you work collaboratively with supervisors/managers?
Yes
Do you work collaboratively with your co-workers?
Yes
Describe your work location (e.g., office, home, theatre, in the field) and what you like/dislike about working in it.
We have one office centrally located within the 3 complexes. It is in a good neighborhood, which I like and very close to home. I can go home for lunch every day!
