A day in the life of…

Please describe a typical workday for you in your current job:

5am to 6am
6am to 7am
7am to 8am I am at a hospital setting up scrubs to sell at a scrub show. I will be setting up racks of scrubs according to size and or brand. I will also be setting up the different kinds of shoes we carry. I will set up the cash register. I will also set up the stethoscopes and badge holders.
8am to 9am The show will be beginning. I will help customers find what they are looking for. I will direct them to the dressing room. I will make sure they are fitted into the most comfortable uniform to their preference.
9am to 10am I will continue to help people to find exactly what they are looking for. If we do not have their size in the style they are looking for, I can take their order for what they want and order it for them. We do payroll deduction for certain hospitals; which makes people more apt to buy, when they don’t actually have to spend the money then.
10am to 11am People are coming in at different times throughout the day, depending on when their shift is over, or when they have breaks. I will help them to find what they are allowed to wear. I will show them all the different uniforms we have for the colors they are allowed to wear.
11am to 12pm I will be hanging up all the scrubs that have been taken off hangers and placing them back where they go. I will keep the room we are in looking the way it was when we came in. I will continue to help the customers find what they are looking for. I will be checking some of them out.
12pm to 1pm Lunch break is normally our busiest part of the day. Most people will come by on their lunch break. I am still helping them to shop and find their uniforms. I will also be taking orders from them for what we may not have in stock.
1pm to 2pm At some point during the day, I will be talking with the supervisor to set up our next show. The supervisor will look at our books to see what we should bring the next time. Different hospitals have things they can or cannot wear. I want to make sure we bring the best selection possible.
2pm to 3pm I continue to help people find what they need. I also continue to keep the surroundings tidy. I remove all of the empty hangers and boxes. Then I make sure everything is where it is supposed to be.
3pm to 4pm I have my favorites that I show people which helps to sell them. I always wear one of my favorite uniforms; this really helps to sell them. I continue to help people and to clean up behind them.
4pm to 5pm The show is normally over at 4 p.m. Now I will begin to start getting everything straightened up to start loading back up. I will print out our sales, so that I will have something to look at before we come back to base our next show there on.
5pm to 6pm We are normally still loading up. I also make sure that the conference room we used is as clean as it was when we came in this morning.
6pm to 7pm We are now headed back to our store. We will stop on our way home to eat dinner and discuss our day.
7pm to 8pm We are still driving back. Some of the workers and or myself may be napping if possible.
8pm to 9pm We normally get back between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., depending on the location of the show.
9pm to 10pm When we get back, we will begin to unload the trailers.
10pm to 11pm We should have everything back in its place by 11p.m.
11pm to 12am I am finished and going to sleep.
