Interaction with others is normal as we all learn from each other. But it is not required to work closely with another. I like it because I can learn how others work there desk. Others have more experience than I do so I diffinately learn from them.

Start as a Claims assistant take the require training classes to get your certificate. Apply for Claims ajusters postions when available.
What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours?
Customer service, ability to make decisions, Team player and responible. This job entitles you to make treatment decisions for injured workers. Being able to resolve problems or provide answers and resourcing other for a possible answer to solve a question. Take responsibility for any mistakes you make as penalties become greater if found out later.

Make sure you enjoy a desk job, enteracting with injured workers and being in charge of your own desk.
