I work with others on a daily basis..with instructors, students, doctors, patients. I really enjoy it.

hospital setting and I love it. I also work in the clinic which is nice because the area is small and you can get comfortable with the patients. I also work alot in my office speaking with different medical professionals.

Please describe a typical workday for you in your current job:
5am to 6am | |

7am to 8am | Morning Ground rounds: hospital rounds with students on patients that are staying in the hospital. Talk about disease process and treatments. Stduents get the opportunity to ask questions and learn about patient issues from medical to social. |
8am to 9am | 8-8:30 coffee break |
9am to 10am | 8:30-12clinic… see patients, diagnose, minor treatments, write prescription. Also, there are medical stduents seeing patients in teh clinic, so I have to oversee their work and check on their patients and charts. |

1pm to 2pm | 12:45-2pm lecture to students: daily lecture on medical topics to students. Sometimes stduents have to do powerpoint lectures so faculty and I listen and ask questions etc.. |

get the degree, get the experience through volunteer work. be motivated and not give up

Social skills: need to know how to communicate with others where they understand you and also feel comfortble with you. Organized: you need to realy be organized in your thinking and planning in order to be able to get the work done. ompassionate: working solely to help others. technicial and educational skills: need to stdueny and understand disease processes, medications, treatments etc…

Always sray on top of new developments in the medical field

yes, this is why I went to medical school, to be able to learn and practice in teh medical profession.
What are your current career goals?
Stay up to date on medical knowledge. Learn new cutting edge techniques in surgery. Learn more how to counsel patients in their time of need.
Is there anything else you would like to share about your career?
It takes a lot of dedication, but if you don’t give up, you can do it. You should never give up on something because ir=ts too hard. Work your way through it and you can finish anything.
