I work for a very big company having more than 90000 people working worldwide. My company is number one company.

Describe your job role and responsibilities.
I am responsible for designing solutions and coding.Apart from that I am involved in PL/SQL development and DBA related stuff. I have also worked on query optimization.

Yes, it does require us to work with others as we work as a team. Sometimes we do not work as a team which bothers me a lot in work.

The work location is great. It is equiped with all the beverages. What I like most is security system and the policies they have. It is wonderful.

Please describe a typical workday for you in your current job:

5am to 6am
6am to 7am
7am to 8am na

9am to 10am I reach office. I check daily mails and based on that i decide which one is priority and work on them. Look at my mail box to see todays meeting and appointments.
10am to 11am I monitor the databases and check whats happening with the cron jobs and procedures that i wrote. If there were issues..i try to solve them. i speak to team and delagate the work.
11am to 12pm Get the status from team about the task they did yesterday and if there are any issues.
12pm to 1pm Lunch time
1pm to 2pm Talk to manager, update him about issues, solutions and start working on the task
2pm to 3pm Continue doing task.
3pm to 4pm Continue doing task.
4pm to 5pm Continue doing task.
5pm to 6pm start packing up .Send mails as required and back to home
6pm to 7pm
7pm to 8pm
8pm to 9pm
9pm to 10pm
10pm to 11pm
11pm to 12am

I would recommend him to clear the basics first. As thats something most important for a person to grow. I would also ask him to develop some project so that he/she can give some idea.
