5am to 6am | |
6am to 7am | |
7am to 8am | Arrive at work. Check email. Worked on exhibit for client. |
8am to 9am | Continued working of exhibit for client. Spoke with surveyor to find information on recorded plats for a piece of property. |
9am to 10am | printed exhibits and gathered information for meeting. Spent a few mins making sure that CAD techs had work for the rest of day. |
10am to 11am | Travel to Meeting with client |
11am to 12pm | Meeting with client. Cleared up issues on property. Also met with lawyer to clear up issues with property. |
12pm to 1pm | Lunch |
1pm to 2pm | travel to city to submit documents. |
2pm to 3pm | Submitted documents to city for review. Met with director of Public Works to clarify where he wanted a road to be located. |
3pm to 4pm | Still in meeting with public works director. |

If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?
Get a degree in civil. engineering and you should have no problem finding a job. WE have a major shortage of engineers!
What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours?
Social skills, mus be able to talk to clients and regulatory agencies. Must have strong math skills, be able to calculate grading, pipe flow ect.

Yes, a degree and several years of experiance

Work hard, play harder, dont let the stress get to you.
