i work in a branch office. we do morgage lending in marion ohio. We have office in 3 states and employ around 200 people.

I did interview with a mortgage processing manager. She gave me the job right away because i had been in the banking loan processing for 3 years. there was an opening they needed filed asap and i lucked out

yes, once you learn the computer screens and the file ordered and what to do with the file for closing. i picked it up and enjoyed my co workers

i was trained at the home office for 1 month and shadowed a processor for 2 weeks

shadow someone in the office and be very organized and ready to multi task.

be able to meet and greet people, your will need to call and talk to customers and title co. and realtors daily – social skills. people walk in and phone all day.
organization is a must. you will be stoping and starting your work and opening and closing files. your to do list will grow as the day goes on and you will need to follow up with minute to minute changes.

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?
be ready to work hard. changes are all the time and reading and remenbering these changes.
rewards are closing a loan and knowing the borrower is happy
