If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?
Get involved in radiation therapy.

What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours?
Need to be very organized and able to handle social situations in order to handle working with physicians, residents, coworkers, and therapists. Computer savvy is necessary, and knowledge of physics.

Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?
Yes, background in science, and radiation therapy is very helpful.

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?
Be prepared to learn a lot right away because there is a very steep learning curve. Need to put in a lot of time and effort to make the most of the position and be able to learn from others.

Is your current employment part of your overall career plan? Why or why not?
I don’t know where I will be in the future, but if I stay happy with my current employer and job I would be willing to stay here.

What are your current career goals?
Be involved in research and publications, volunteer in the field and outside of work, garner a chief position.

Not very well known but it is a great field to get involved with.
