it is a library. i backup and troubleshoot system problems and look after the libraries computers connected to the system. if they need reports made i do them too.

i trouble shoot computer problems, print reports, upgrade and back up the system.

my job does involve working with many people. I WORK WITH LIBRARIANS, OTHER TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALISTS, AND SERVICE SPECIALISTS SENT IN FROM OTHER COMPANIES. I LOVE WORKING WITH OTHER PEOPLE. I ENJOY THEM.

CAME IN AND STARTED UP COMPUTER. PRINTED OUT LIBRARY NOTICES AND READ ANY MESSAGES, EMAILS AND UPDATES I HAVE. |
9am to 10am | RECEIVED PHONE CALLS AND ANSWERED ANY INQUIRIES FROM LIBRARIANS. THEY CALL TO ASK FOR CERTAIN REPORTS TO BE RUN OR PROBLEMS THEY MAY BE EXPERIENCING WITH A COMPUTER FILE OR SYSTEM. HAD A BRIEF MEETING WITH STAFF ABOUT THE SYSTEM UPGRADE WE HAVE IN PROGRESS. |

YES- I WAS ALREADY WORKING THERE SO IT WAS A PROMOTION. I DID INTERVIEW AND WAS ASKED QUESTIONS MOSTLY ABOUT HOW I HANDLE PEOPLE AND CERTAIN PROBLEMS. I WAS INTERVIEWED BY THE HEAD TECHNICIAN AND ONLY HIM.

MOSTLY WHAT WOULD I DO IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS. I DONT REMEMER SPECIFIC QUESTIONS IT WAS SO LING AGO.

START AT THE BOTTOM. WORK YOUR WAY UP. IT SHOWS THAT YOUR WILLING TO DO THE SMALL JOBS TO GET TO THE BIG JOBS. I STARTED OUT WORKING AT THE LIBRARY BY CHECKING OUT BOOKS. NOW I TROUBLESHOOT THE WHOLE SYSTEM.
