The employer did not prepare me. School did.

Yes. Four years of undergraduate college, 4 year of medical school and 5 years of residency.

Yes. Extensive hands on and practical knowlege was imparted along with theoretical knowledge.

Work hard and do well in college and high school .Keep your grades up and go to medical school. After that life gets easier.
