Describe the type of organization you work for.
Online retailer in handbags, luggages, luggage, business cases and much more. Company survived the dot bomb and has been growing since. The total employeed is roughly 110 people. We use the drop ship model to process orders that are placed through the website.
Describe your job role and responsibilities.
Manage drop ship vendors by maintaining order processes such as on time shipping and cancellations. Fulfillment works with the Customer Team and with the vendors with any order issues such as wrong products shipped and unshipped orders. Have also begun to look at te return logistics of the business and implement ways to reduce returns.

Yes, I do work with others on a daily basis. Yes, I like it. It brings a closeness that allows work to be completed more efficiently by being able to use them as resources. It also allows us to grow as a team.

Yes, I did interview. I had 1 interview with the Customer Care Manager as an individual.

What customer service expierence I had and how I could the company benefit from my expierences.

yes. all the resources are available for training.
Was there training for your current position? If yes, what did it entail?
Yes. I started in customer care and worked my way to another group that half was customer care and half fulfillment. When an opening became available in fulfillment as an analyst, I applied. THis is when I had to learn different aspects of the operations side of the company.

yes.I have taken classes that have taught me to be a better speaker and written.

If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?
You will need to find a company that has a great culture. Culture is key. In a large corporation it is best to understand the backend processes that ultimately make the business. Start thinking of ways to interact with key departments in improving process for a better expierence to the client.
What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours?
YOu would need to be able to approach people at all department head levels. Being efficient in Excel and other visual docuemnts is helpful. Organization is a key in a growing business as well as time management.

yes, business and merchandising
What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?
Always ask questions and do not be afraid to speak up. Write down ideas and bring them to meetings when anyone asks if there are questions to a certain discussion. It is best to show people that you are creative and can think outside the box.
