TCP Mentor Program
If you are willing to answer a few questions each month to help guide and advise others in your field, then consider signing up to be in our Mentor Program. Our mentors help answer questions from career seekers about the field they are in. Questions may range from advice about educational and training requirements, to what type of company is best to work for, etc. This is a volunteer program and the commitment on your end as a mentor is quite minimal yet can be exceptionally meaningful.
Q: What’s the time commitment?
A: Most mentors receive a couple of questions each month and typically can handle them in about 10 to 15 minutes.
Q: Are there any deadlines?
A: No, our mentorship program is very informal. We just ask that you reply in a reasonable time frame and do your best to help guide the individuals who have sought your input.
Q: Do mentors get paid?
A: No, this is a volunteer position for those who are willing to spend a few minutes each month to give back to students and career changers who are seeking to break into your field.
Q: How do I sign up to be a mentor?
A: Its quick and easy! Just fill out one of our career profile surveys and then when you submit the survey, check the “become a mentor” checkbox.
