PR Professional Career Profiles
Public relations professionals are tasked with the job of spreading information and news about brands, products, and services. Just as the title suggests, they communicate with the public, so both written and verbal communication skills are essential in this position.
But how exactly do they share news and updates with the public? This is where the fun begins, since PR professionals get to develop unique campaigns for all of their initiatives. For something simple or for small news, they may simply need to send out a quick press release. Another route commonly taken by PR professionals is to reach out to online and print journalists within a respective industry. To take things even further, they may want to arrange a press conference or television interview to share some news.
Where PR professionals work can vary. Some work at an agency and handle PR efforts for several clients, while others work in-house and only handle public relations matters for that specific company.
