The animal health division collaborates with farmers and ranchers, government agencies, veterinarians and other groups to ensure the health and safety of animals, humans and the food supply. Typical animal health careers include veterinarians or animal behaviourists.

More people than ever are getting pets and the growing population is creating a demand for livestock to produce food. As a result, there will be a demand for animal health personnel over the coming years.

Careers in the animal health division can be challenging. People in this field may have to work with difficult animals, difficult owners and they will have to put animals to sleep. However, it is also an incredibly rewarding career as animal health personnel get to save the lives of many animals and stop the spread of diseases.
