Hi everyone! My name is Jon, and I recently took over as the day-to-day editor of The Career Project from Alicia, the original founder of this site. Alicia is still around and serving as a trusted advisor for us as we now put our foot down on the gas and push to grow this site aggressively and help more job seekers and students identify the right career match for them.
I just wanted to post a quick update here to let you know what we’ve got in store for The Career Project for the rest of 2015 and beyond.
First, over the last month we’ve undertaken a fairly significant technology change, migrating over all of our content on the site to a new web development platform. There’s lots of technical jargon involved, but basically what this means is that our site will be easier and faster to update. So you, our clients, will be the beneficiaries.
Secondly, we’re about to start a major push to increase the number of profiles we have on the site. While we have a nice inventory right now, we want to go deeper into more specific job fields, and refresh some of our larger fields with the most current profiles possible. So stay tuned on that.
Last and most significant, we’ve made the decision to open up our site and show you all of the career profiles we have for free, with no registration required. This is a big change for us as for many years the site has only shown you part of the profiles, but required you to login in order to see all sections of the profile. No longer! Now you can see everything we’ve got, for free, with no login required.
