The Career Project

I advise undergraduate students who have not been accepted to the college of their major. I help them choose the right courses and advise them on the requirements for their program. I also teach a first year college success course to freshmen students.

I advise student athletes in major and course choices. In addition, I ensure that student athletes remain in good standing with the NCAA and the athletic conference. I also instruct a course dedicated to first-year students.

Mainly responsible for coordinating the University's undergraduate internship program. Also coordinate career planning workshops throughout the year and assist with presentations as needed.

My responsibilities primarily include meeting with students to discuss career possibilities. I help students create a career strategy plan, so he or she takes the classes, interns, and applies in the correct order. I also have an important role in planning events held by the Career Center. I plan career lunches, retreats, the annual graduate and law school day and ou annual talent quest. I also plan and facilitate etiquette, resume, and interview workshops.

I administer card sorts, do online computer assessments, and provide counseling.

Counsel students in areas of job search to help them obtain internships, co-ops, and full time jobs in their field of study.

Counsel students, alumni and community members in career exploration, job search, résumés and vocational assessment Present on multiple topics including job skills, elevator speeches, advertisement of services and résumés Share in responsibility for career fairs and interviewing events

I counsel students undecided as to a major; go over career assesments; assist students, alumni and public with all job search issues including resumes, cover letters, job searching and mock interviewing; over-see a federal student work program; and present with regard to all of these duties in classrooms on campus, as well as to the general public.

Advise students and alumni in decision making for major, internship and other community-based learning pursuits, job, career and continuing education choices through individual and group counseling approaches. Administer and interpret various career assessments and inventories (SII and MBTI) examining work values, interests, skills, and abilities. Develop, facilitate and lead career-related programs, presentations and workshops and monitor their effectiveness on an on-going basis. Establish and maintain effective partnerships with faculty, staff and employers utilizing multiple strategies in order to provide information about the importance of career development, community-based education, experiential learning and job/graduate school readiness. Lead the delivery of all strategic recruiting, hiring, training and supervision activity of all student staff. Conduct and/or seek both internal and external professional development opportunities for student employees. Develop, facilitate, and/or lead career-related programs, presentations and workshops both on and off campus, in-person and virtually; and monitor their effectiveness on an on-going basis.

I help students with the classes they need, organize parental meetings, and in charge of orientation for new students accompanied by their parents.

counsel middle school students as needed, upload grades and print report cards, check computers, write school newsletter, and any other duties

Provide both personal and educational counseling services to students and employees of the university. Provide workshops to assist students with their educational needs.

I teach a few classes a week, help with homework, supervise snack time and free time.

-Re-build and re-develop campus-wide career services following a period during which an office and related services were defunct -Evaluate and improve upon the College’s internship placement process in conjunction with Academic Affairs -Proposed and implemented the purchase and integration of the “e-Recruiting” web-based, office management system -Counsel students and alumni in need of resume, cover letter or job placement assistance -Plan and promote the annual “Career Fair” -Design and present career planning workshops -Establish and build upon contacts with outside companies for students’ job and internship placements

Work one-on-one with learning-disabled students, providing assistance and teaching techniques to "re-wire" thinking and processing.

I have mandated and unmandated students for individual and group counseling

Provide counseling to students mandated to receive counseling services on their IEP's. Work with case workers. Assist students with their applications to NYC public high schools.

Provide Career, Academic, and crisis counseling. I perform administrative duties such as scheduling.

I serve in various capacities ranging from assistance with resume and cover letter reviews (all professional documentation, reviewing application materials, conducting workshops on salary negotiation, interviewing skills, networking, resume and cover letter wrting, market trend research and practice, etc. Programs i offer include an extensive Executive Mentor program, internship training, outreach to corporations. i also oversee all career management and supervise 4 colleagues.
