I am responsible for updating, configuring, and maintaining 3rd party software through out the company. By "3rd party" I mean software that is not programmed by employees. For example, Microsoft Excel is a 3rd party software.

As a computer operator I am responsible for daily, weekly and monthly backups and maintenance on both a mainframe system and a network of predominantly Windows and Oracle based systems. I also do networking and hardware monitoring and troubleshooting when necessary.

My team is a software development team. We develop interactive computer training applications, and interactive, electronic versions of technical manuals for equipment or systems that the Navy uses. I specifically do some programming/development, analyzing requirements of an individual project, and lots of testing of applications before they are delivered to our customers.

I manage several servers and do Helpdesk support for my company.

Assisting in the maintenance and administration of approximately twenty servers hosting client websites and data. Providing systems administration for the company's intranet, fifteen workstations, and three file servers. Working on the continuing development of Java applications for client websites.

I respond to server problems and implement changes. For example, I resolve disk space issues, restart web applications, troubleshoot software problems, expand disk volumes, add and delete users, and apply security patches.

I am responsible for the company's computer network, and all that involves. This includes security - both internal and external - as well as software and hardware issues. I am also tasked to making internal web pages for employees, providing remote tech support to off-site employees, and troubleshooting of company phones.

I am responsible for designing solutions and coding.Apart from that I am involved in PL/SQL development and DBA related stuff. I have also worked on query optimization.

I lead an end user test support team. I coordinate with the end users to perform testing on the application software. I maintain the environment and testing schedule and resolve all issues encountered by the end users.
