Adminstration, management and fiscal

I handle benefits for employees and their dependents that have lost their insurance coverage. A federal law called COBRA enables them to keep their insurance if they pay the premiums. I make sure ERS is not in violation of any of the provisions of COBRA. I enroll participants in the program and approve their eligibility for a specified time period.

Using SAS analytics software, I perform quality control checks, create case control cohorts for studies and write macros to improve coding infrastructure.

I run operations for two non-profits which includes a lot of office management internally at the home office, managing relationships between staff, management, and funders; coordinating proposals for international health projects (grant writing), working with vendors to buy and maintain office equipment, coordinating with state government and international governments on contracts and legal matters, leading internal teams to improve environmental and safety practices throughout the company, coordinating and facilitating social events among staff, liaising with building management and cleaning company, managing overhead budget.

I coordinate the inspections and activities of 5 restuarant inspectors. I provide training and write reports on their activities.

I monitor and investigate cases and outbreaks of communicable disease.

I acquire funding for hospital programs, services, and equipment through grant writing (to private foundations and public funders), as well as research health care issues and develop programs.

I handle everything from maintaining patient charts and scheduling diagnostic tests, to ordering supplies and transcribing doctor's orders. I also admit new patients and give information and directions to visitors. I am one of the most important links between departments, physicians, nursing staff and patients and visitors.

I file claims with insurance companies and work accounts recievable.

Help assist the doctor

scheduling patients, vital signs, venipuncture, assist with procedures, lab work, starting IV's

I review and sumbit medical claims to insurance companies and medicare. I also file and manage the billing/customer care center of the office.

Instructor, Externship Program, Oversee Medical Program, Oversee medical intructors, hiring new instructors, odering supplies for the medical lab, Monthly reports on students and overall retention of program, recriuting new business developments and externship sites, maintain medical scrubs, student orientations, new instructor trainings and orientations.

Basically I interpret from English to spanish and back again for patients and medical staff. Here at UICMC i am paged whenever a request for an interpreter comes in. i interpret medical procedure, clinic appts, er medical histories, discharges, ect.

I transcribe all medical documents. Communicate with physician\'s offices

I support three departments and look at productivity measurements as well as industry and market outlooks.

Checking in and verifying patient outpatient and inpatient information. Aquire information for billing.
