A Limousine Company (we have about fifty employees) that rents out towncars, limos, buses to people to rent for airport trips, weddings, funerals, proms, etc.

I clean all of the vehicles inside and out, making sure they look nice before a driver takes them out on a job. Cleaning the outside of the cars with soap and water, brushing the tires clean, brushing and vacuuming the interiors.

Yes it does. I'm required to work together with fellow crewmen as well as greet customers coming in to take a look at vehicles. I like working with my fellow co-workers and get along with them just fine.

We wash the vehicles outside in a parking lot during the summer. When it's colder weather we do the cleaning in the garage. Spring/Summer is perfect weather for doing my type of work. I don't love washing cars during the winter nor does anyone else but everybody in the crew does the best they can.

During the winter, make sure you dress warm. Always come prepared with a focused mind.

  What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

Be able to handle criticism because managers will ride you if you make mistakes. Be somewhat physically fit having to do all the lifting, scrubbing, and standing on your feet 8 hours a day.

  Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

No.

  What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

In winter make sure you wear boots and dress warm. Be ready to do physical labor.
