Real Estate Brokerage firm with over 3,000 agents in NY. We are also part of the Prudential network which has offices throughout the United States. We represent buyers and sellers with purchasing, selling, or renting.

For Sellers: Research comps, market property, write ad descriptions, make sure listing is distributed to brokerage community, schedule appointments to show the property, show the property by appointment and by holding open houses, qualify potential buyers, negotiate offers, close deals. For Buyers: Qualify buyers, research properties, make appointments, show apartments, research comps, submit offer, negotiate deal, and close deals.

3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours?

  If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?

I would recommend you start by working as an assistant to an established agent and see if you really like the type of work. If you do, then get your license.

Outgoing, social skills, detail oriented, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.

  Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

Nothing specific, but you should be intellectual and speak well. Also have a professional demeanor.

  What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

Have savings to live on for at least 6 months. It sometimes takes that long to start making money.
