· Direct and manage the administration of all HR policies and procedures.
· This includes, but is not limited to: compensation /benefits, employee / labor relations, associate communication, performance management, retention and recruitment strategy and overall legal compliance.
· Manage workman’s compensation first report of injury files from treatment to close including the correct processing of first report of injury, correct documentation to return to work and expediting closing of case
· Develop updated policies and procedures for the employee handbook and operations manual
· Act as liaison with regards to employee relations while sharing concerns with CEO and take action when necessary
· Conduct investigations regarding harassment, discrimination and employee complaints
· Maintain vacation schedule and benefit time, manage leave of absence requests and FMLA requirements
· Identify eligible employees and enroll employees in benefit programs and process benefit deductions
· Enforce DOL Wage and Hour Rules with regard to employee payment and restrictions relating to minors
· Ensure written materials are in compliance with laws
· Represent the company in employment law proceedings or inquiries
· Identify and report liability exposures
· Monitor legal new hire procedures and counsel managers when necessary
· Conduct salary surveys and create and maintain job descriptions
· Provide government required reports relating to employment law
· Handle any inquiries from Liability Insurance including the reporting of guest injuries
· Uses technical HR knowledge in support of organizational learning for the managers and corporate staff
· Accountable for the coordination and management of the administration and investigation of all Workers' Compensation/unemployment issues, EEO, Sexual Harassment, and other employee relation issues
· Provide expert consultation to the Managers regarding performance management, career development and overall staffing strategy implementation.
· Wage verifications for Child and family services, Housing, Child supports, By phone for check cashing, Former employees seeking jobs
· Child support compliance by setting up payments, Corresponding with agencies, verifying employment, terminating payments, taking calls regarding payments
