RVSM Solutions is a small aviation consulting firm. We write and provide RVSM (Reduced Vertical Seperation Minimum)manuals and all forms for owners/opperators of jet planes to comply and receive their LOA (Letter of Opperation) from the FAA.

My main duty is to implement new markting ideas and seek out new clients. I also write manuals and do other day to day tasks that may include, but are not limited to answering the phone, some bookkeping and assisting in client correspondance.

Yes. We are a small office of 5, we are constantly boucning ideas off of each other. Some one may come up with a good idea for marketing and give the idea to me. Others may be overwhelmed with wrok on a certian day and I pitch in to help that person get caught up. Any major decision is a group decision.

3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours? |

If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?
College first, and then start with a company that has potential to move into a marketing postion. My particular marketing job deals only with people in the aviation business.

skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a
position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social
skills, organization skills, technical skills)
Social skills are important, as well as communication skills in general. Knowing how the public thinks, acts and reacts comes from experience and is helpful. Great phone skills is a must. Organization skills are always helpful, with out them you will never accomplish anything.

Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?
Education is not necessarily a must, a person can learn from on the job training, but of cource eduction is always a good idea. Success in the job can come from on the job training, good work ethics, and determainaton

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?
Good work etics is a must, determination to be the best, a love of the job and liking your co workers helps. You also have to like working with people and you have to be able to talk to strangers.
