3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours?

If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?

The credit representatives are an entry level position. My job is pretty much a specialist position in that department. Just showing interest and being trustworthy would be a great way to get your foot in the door.

What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

Definately organizational skills for the number of files you would be responsible for. Plus you would need time management skills to follow up the cases on a regular basis.

Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

Computer skills are a must. We use special software and databases for the work.

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

Just be consistant with the follow ups. Do not be afraid to work with trustees or legal documents. Keep emails from attorneys in a special folder for later follow ups.
