Our organization sells 60's replica cars such as AC Cobras, Daytona Coupes and GT40's we cater to a high end level of clientel. We offer a 50,000 sq. ft showroom and employ around 25 people.

Oversee day to day operations of showroom,sales people,mechanics and office staff.

I work with a variety of co-workers and customers. I enjoy working with our customers the best. For the most part I like our "team" of co-workers. Sometimes pety office politics can drive certain employee's over the edge.

I work with two shop foremans to ensure smooth operations of the shop and I work with all employees to asure all day activites are productive.

3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours?

  If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?

Start into a entry level position at an automotive dealership and work your way up through the ranks. A passion for the automotive world helps also.

  What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

Being automotive inclined is a plus. IE; automotive terminology and being able to communicate that across all lines of management. Able to deal affectly with the public in all types of situations (good and bad) Organization is a must in any level of the automotive world.

  Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

Yes, at least an associate degree and a desire to be in the automotive world

  What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

Set up a good network of parts and fellow dealerships, one day you will need something that only one person has and hopefully that will be in your network of friends!
