3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours?

If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?

I would recommend them to be personable and like assisting customers. Many people thinks the place I work at is easy to do, yet they hate working with the public. One thing about this job is that you constantly work with customers and people whom you may have never met before, then allowing yourself to be personable with them is a hassle to many people I know. If you do not like working in the public and dislike being personable, then there is no way you are able to get a job like this one.

What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

Before becoming a part of this job, I did not have any source of skill besides the customer service that I had done in the past. This helped me get the job and when I got to the position, I realized how important it was to have this skill. It really helps to get the position with customer service skills. The reason why this skill is important is because we help customers daily and if you do not have the skill, you may not be treating your customers the way they should be treated. Lacking the skill me allow a customer to leave with a bad impression or never coming back. By meeting their needs and allowing them with options will show the customer your skills of how to meet the demand of their problem. This is an important aspect.

Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

I did at first, but after awhile, the level of education does not really help to be successful in the job. But training does help a whole lot!

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

The advice I would give them is to love their job. If they know they are getting themselves into a job they know they will hate, do not try applying for it. If you work at an environment and a place you love, you will never hate working or helping customers. A job like this one requires alot of communication and lacking this quality can hurt you and others.
