Organizational skills are a must because you are constantly multi tasking in this field. You have to know your stuff in order to succeed. Clients are depending upon your expertise and their confidence in your ability will make or break your ability to get the job.

Yes..you have to have your engineering stamp to succeed.

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?
Get as much experience as you can along the way. don't wait until you have graduated to do so..intern or work at an engineering firm as a basic assistant just to get a feel for how the operation works.
