I work in an office setting with about 20 women, and yes I work along side with others on an everyday projects. For the most part I like it, somedays its hard to work with all women. I do not like being on the phone with customers yelling when they are angry.

3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours?

  If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?

Learn something about window fashions first, make sure you've got basic math measurments down, fractions for one thing. maybe a design class.

  What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

Well they surely need a eye or feel for designing, measuring, and can do fractions well, one must learn to be able to adapt to hostile people on the phone, so brush up on your people skills.

  Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

yes, dealing with customers all day long takes a certain kind of person

  What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

Maybe try to visit a local store like jc penny's or House of Blinds, to get a feel for this kind of business, then you;ll need to see about classes to help with interior designs, and basic measurements.
