Apply. I had no knowledge of this field and started out as a general laborer and have learned everything on the job.

skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a
position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social

Good listener and be able to think ahead. You also have to be well organized. We have to be thinking about the material needed for the next job, while making sure the current order goes out correctly. Time is money and we can't afford to waste either in our business.

No i learned everything on the job

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?
Work hard and prove yourself the money will come later. You have to be willing to do more than you aren't currently paid for to show the boss that you are worth the money and responsibility. You may only get 1 chance to show it. Don't blow it.
