Go in to classrooms and support inclusion special ed students in a least restrictive environment for them. I work with 6th 7th and 8th grade, mostly in History and Science. I take all of their work and rewrite or adapt it to their particular learning level or learning style. I reteach concepts and make learning enchancement materials as well as reviews for tests and quizzes.

Apply with the district. Talk to someone who already does the job for a clear picture of it. Visit a school to observe.

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?
ask lots of questions. Get a mentor in the special education department. Listen and learn everyday. Don't expect every day to be the same. Do as little for the students as possible. Instead set them up for success on their own effort. Understand each student's needs and meet them.
