What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?
Start out accepting projects with as much variety as possible. Try roto, vfx, motion graphics. Try film, tv, commercials. Try different environments (large studio, small studio). When you figure out what you like, continue to try new ways of doing things, so you are always expanding your expertise. That will open more doors, and in freelance, you need to be able to find lots of work.
