As a registrar, I take care of the artwork. This includes making arrangements to get the work framed, conserved, shipped, insured, keeping track of locations, etc.

If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?
Get a masters degree or certificate in Museum registration. Start at the bottom as a receptionist and work your way up. Check nyfa.org.

Must be very organized and conscientious. Must not be turned off by paperwork.
