I work for an art gallery that employs about 20 people. The gallery sells, loans and consigns works of arts.

As a registrar, I take care of the artwork. This includes making arrangements to get the work framed, conserved, shipped, insured, keeping track of locations, etc.

I work as part of a team. I definitely enjoy this as we can split up the work load. It is also nice to have someone to commiserate with.

I work in an office. I don't mind working in an office as i like to have a designated place to get work done. I also like being able to physically leave work.

Get a masters degree or certificate in Museum registration. Start at the bottom as a receptionist and work your way up. Check nyfa.org.

Must be very organized and conscientious. Must not be turned off by paperwork.

A masters will get you in the door easier.
