What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?
residency is hard, long, and you are severely underpaid, but eventually we will be compensated like public thinks we are (read as, 6 figure salary). Most people are shocked to know I work so much and get so little. I worked it out once, I get paid about $13 / hour, and that's with 8 years of extra schooling and 6 figures in student loans.
