Responsible for researching and qualifying all leads; generate ideas and initiatives for cultivating new services. Negotiate international client and vendor contracts, produce and submit proposals and RFIs. Assist with creation of marketing initiatives, materials and campaigns. Sell complex foreign language and technology solutions to large multinational corporations

yes. i enjoy it because i work remotely and gives me the opportunity to get to know others in company. Also collaborating with the different experts in the company (rather than having the sales person be the only one who interfaces with the client) gives us more credibility with our clients and allows me to be a more successful sales person.

The entire sales team is remote so working in the office is really not very appealing. I love the flexibility of working from home but do wish the sales team got together more frequently to exchange ideas and discuss strategy.

job boards or research search words for the industry and start contacting companies directly there are also a few headhunters who recruit specifically for localization

  What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

needs to be extremely motivated, persistent and have strong time management skills. needs to be able to work under pressure and have good grasp of technology. Need to be extremely resourceful to find contacts/new leads. Also needs to be well versed in at least one foreign language. Having lived/worked abroad is a huge plus as well.
