I have a BSN in nursing. So they would have to do 4 (four) years of college, in addition to clinicals for each part of nursing, i.e. peds, med-surg, obstetrics. But most importantly you have to have a calling for taking care of others.

People skills. You have to be a people person. You have to enjoy the good, bad and the ugly of people, because you get it all in Nursing.

Yes, you have to have the education and then you have to be licensed.

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

Just be true to yourself. If you know you don't like to help/ take care of others, this is not the career for you.
