3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours?

If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?

Honestly, I got lucky. I answered a Craigslist ad and happened to click with the supervisor and Director I interviewed with.

What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

Organization skills are key. Trade shows tend to be cyclical so you get some down time between shows, and then it just winds up. The closer it gets to show time, the more work there is and you need to be able to prioritize and juggle all the different tasks so everything is done in time for the show.

Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

In this particular position, a sunny disposition for godd cutomer service and being comfortable enough with computers to learn lots of different niche programs is enough to learn the job.

What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

Just don't get into customer service if you are not a people person. You need to be able to respond to the same question/request/complaint again and again and give each one the same level of service.
