Describe
your work location (e.g., office, home, theatre, in the field) and what
you like/dislike about working in it
The work that I perform is one piece of the puzzle that helps the attorney do his job effectively. My co-workers may also play a role or augment the work that I have done on a particular case. Without the foundation work of my support people, my co-workers, and myself, the attorneys would not be able to have all of the information that is vital to winning cases.

3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours? |
|
If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?
If someone wants to work for an attorney, they could start in the mailroom or as a file clerk. They could learn how the office works and what type of law that particular office specializes in. Once they had this foundation, they could either move up to a legal secretary and learn on the job, or take some classes for legal secretary or paralegal at a local college.

What
skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a
position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social

A college degree is very useful.
|
