I work for the us government. We have post offices in every town and city. We delivery mail to every person in the usa via mailboxes at their homes or at post offices boxes.

I work selling stamps and mailing packages. I also process passport applications.

I work at a post office that is located inside of a shopping mall.

3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours?

  If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?

He/she would have to take a postal examine and score high on the test. Veterans get preference.

  What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

You must be available round the clock hours because the post office is open 24 hours. You must be socialable because you will most always be working w/others. You must enjoy customer service because that is what it is all about.

  Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

No, not much education is really needed. Once hired you get the training you need.

  What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

Once signed up for the examine go to the library (or book store)and get the study guide for the postal examine and study study study. The test is about memorize, address checking, easy stuff like that but its about speed.
