I would highly recommend attending a good school, such as Career Steps, for the appropriate training.

good organizational skills, good hearing, typing ability, and interest in medical terminology.

Absolutely.

Be persistent. Continue to educate yourself on all the changing medical procedures. Work hard and be willing to learn.
