Provide maximum care and watch of animals. Rehab injured and retrain for new homes.

Only very few people I have to come in contact with. Position is solitary generally but few occasions require aid of others. I like working by myself or with others but it is nice to have the one on one care with the animals.

Office, home, field. I like working in the field the most, in contact with the animals.

3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours?

  If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?

A part time job on a farm would be your best experience to see if working with farm type animals is going to work for you.

  What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

Hands on skills aer what it's all about. Experience in the field is the only way you're going to make a real impact.

  Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

To some extent yes, Vet training would be most beneficial.

  What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

Firrst rule, you'll never know it all. There's always someone to show you a different way if not soemthing completely new. It's a seven day a week position. If you aren't ready to commit your days to the animals it would probably be best to look elsewhere.
