Responsible for all call center reps and their numbers, attendance, etc. (all managerial duties), policies, procedures, you name it in terms of sr. mgr. in call center.

Work in an office environment. I hate the cubes (cubicles), but recognize their value. I have an office (door, windows and all), but the "floor" is sort of depressing.

3. How should someone new to the workforce get a J-O-B like yours?

  If someone wanted to go about getting a job similar to yours, what would you recommend for him or her to do?

Work one's way up the proverbial totem pole. Start with a TSR or CSR (representative) position and show how you can make a difference, earn more responsibility.

  What skills do you think a person should have if they want to pursue a position like yours? Please be specific and explain why (e.g., social skills, organization skills, technical skills)

You absolutely need social skills, as it's very important to motivate and work with all types of people. You need computer skills (esp. Excel) to track your employees/their progress, and organization (for ACD - average call dollars -- etc. are key).

  Do you feel that you need a certain level of education or training to be successful in your job?

Not sure college makes a difference, but training is very important.

  What advice would you give to someone who was about to start work in your position/ line of work?

Pay attention, watch what your supervisor is doing. Read a lot.
