I provide a loving and safe environment for children while their parents are working. I teach the children through play, art, socialization and some acedemics. I am responsible for preparing meals (breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack) for all of the children.
The last year, I have mentored teachers who are district interns in their first year of teaching. The program is called BTSA, Beginning Teacher Support Assessment. I work with teachers, K-12, who are in their first year of teaching. My position is to visit the teachers to observe their classroom organization, management strategies, instructional strategies, student activities, lesson planning, their understanding and organization of subject matter, and their selection of appropriate instructional materials and resources. After the observation we reflect together, making recommendations, and discuss areas of follow-up.
